This blog is a collection of my (quasi) daily thoughts. I'm Rachel - a 26 year old working in NYC as a web designer & developer for a social networking company. I’ve been told that: I read like a monster, I’m an indiscernable music liker and my red velvet cupcakes are awesome. Also, I’m addicted to bags.

friday the 13th (x3)

13 November 2009

Apparently this is the third Friday the 13th we’ve had this year, which was pointed out by a coworker and hence the meaning of my blog title. I wonder if the other days were as boring as this one. Because after having one hectic work week (Wednesday night I was here until 8pm!), I have absolutely nothing to do today. Either clients have to get back to us more quickly or I should do my work slower. But while we’re on the subject of today, today is usually associated with bad luck right? Well I’ve been having some rather strange dreams lately that I end up remembering vividly upon waking up. And I’m considering that pretty freaking unlucky at the moment. First of all, they often include people from work. And I’m here all day as it is, so no need to see them in my dreams too. Secondly, if they’re not in my dreams then it’s people from college that I’d rather not think about. Since that involves some painful drama that did enough damage when it was occurring. No need to relive that either. And then there was the dream where a guy I used to be friends with chased after me while wearing Harry Potter glasses. Yeah, I don’t understand either. Why can’t I have dreams about getting a puppy? Or going on a date with James Franco? (By the way, he’s doing a guest stint on General Hospital apparently. Um, wtf?)

However, on the lucky side of things, I’m spending my Friday night with Ate Jannique, which is something I haven’t done in a while. We (plus two other people) are planning a baby shower so we’re going to work on the invitations I designed tonight. But what I am really looking forward to this weekend is seeing my dorks tomorrow. It’s been two whole months since we were all together and I am in desperate need of quality time with them. And now all this talk of the weekend has made me even more anxious for it to begin.

T-minus two hours until freedom. Enjoy your weekend everyonel!
