This blog is a collection of my (quasi) daily thoughts. I'm Rachel - a 26 year old working in NYC as a web designer & developer for a social networking company. I’ve been told that: I read like a monster, I’m an indiscernable music liker and my red velvet cupcakes are awesome. Also, I’m addicted to bags.

friday musings.

16 October 2009
  • I just realized that my 4 year anniversary at work was last week (Oct 10 to be exact). Currently it’s making me think about how high school and college were each periods of 4 years and then you move onto the next chapter. That’s kinda how I feel now (okay, been feeling). I’m not a “lifer” as some people may try to label me but when I do move on, it can’t just be for any job or for the sake of being able to say “I have new job!”. It has to be for something that I really want.
  • Two very cool and extremely random things happened last week. First, I received an email from Schmap saying that my photo had been short-listed for inclusion in the ninth edition of their Baltimore Guide, to be published at the end of this month. Secondly, ww.net was included on this site’s list of stunning Pink for October web designs.
  • For anyone that knows and was wondering, all my test results from the cardiologist came back normal. I still feel like crap most of the time but at least nothing is wrong with my heart, right? Her recommendation to me: drink more fluids, add salt to diet, snack (in moderation) between meals and exercise regularly. I am personally adding: sleep by 10:30 and get monthly massages until all stress/tension from back is gone. But basically, she’s telling me to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Go figure. She said to give it a month and see if I feel better. Otherwise, off to another doctor I go.

And lastly but most importantly of all, T – G – I – F! Have a great weekend everyone.
